Welcome to my very first blog. It will be exciting to start this journey with you. I am far from being an eco-expert. I am coming from the perspective of loving our natural world and wanting to “do my bit”. The posts will be varied, from short to long, and hopefully useful. I want this website to highlight and promote eco minded and sustainable businesses that we can all use that are located within our own communities.

I also want to highlight what we as communities can do. I also want to explore what our lives need to look like as we progress through the Twenty First Century? We are all having to deal with the increase in energy bills for the foreseeable future.

Food prices look like they will also increase as well. I will be exploring the notion of self-sufficiency, what that means, and how it could help keep costs down, but not take away totally the lifestyles we have become accustom too. I will be exploring the expansion of community farms, of which I am a supporter of.

 I will be looking to improve and change my own habits and lifestyle to better protect, preserve and improve the environment we all rely on to live.
